Vansant House - New Hope, PA
Built in 1743, the Vansant House was built by Ichabod Wilkinson, an iron master from Providence, Rhode Island. This home is the oldest stone home in New Hope, PA.
Ichabod’s daughter, Mary, and her husband Joshua Vansant, lived in the home for many years. Vansant was a builder and early developer of the town. The Van Sant name is also attached to a well-known covered bridge not far from the center of town.
Today the home is a Historical Landmark and is an Airbnb. Guests have reported that the house is haunted.
