The Stevens Log House - Gettysburg, PA

The historic Thaddeus Stevens home is a log home that was built in 1790 and owned by Thaddeus Stevens who was a member of the United States House of Representatives and also a successful lawyer. He was an advocate for ending slavery and free public education.

After Mr. Steven’s death his housekeeper, Lydia Smith, purchased the home with the inheritance she received from Mr. Stevens.

Today, the historic Thaddeus Stevens home is an AirBNB rental. The house has 3 bedrooms and 1-½ bath and costs about $270 per night to rent. The home is just a 5 minutes walk to downtown, Lincoln Square.
