St. John’s Pioneer Cemetery - Glandorf, OH

Glandorf (Little Germany) was founded in 1834 by German immigrants of Glandorf, Niedersachen, Germany under the leadership of Rev. Johann Wilhelm Horstmann.

The St. John’s Pioneer Cemetery was used from 1834 to 1900. As the years went by the tombstones started to fall and were put in the back of the cemetery. In the 1930s all of the tombstones were collected and made into a shrine in one corner of the cemetery.
