Quilt Trail Project - Kentucky

The Quilt Trail Project began in Adams County, OH by Donna Sue Groves when she wanted a quilt square painted on her barn to honor her mother who was a lifelong quilter. Donna and her friends thought if they paint one quilt on one barn they should do it on 20 to create a driving tour to attract tourists to their community. The project took off and spread to Kentucky.

The first square in Kentucky was painted in Carter County. As we drove along the beautiful Kentucky country roads we found several of the quilt barns. Unfortunately we only got two photos of the quilt barns due to no place to pull over to grab a photo.
