Pagoda - Reading, PA

The Reading Pagoda was completed in 1908 to be a hotel/restaurant for a luxury resort. In 1911 plans were abandoned and the land was given to the city of Reading.

The Pagoda is overlooking the city of Reading and has been a symbol for over a century.

It’s been tradition that on Christmas Eve at 9 pm the Pagoda lights will flash to let the children of Reading know that Santa is on his way. I read somewhere that this may not happen this year due to the lights needing

repair.
