Old Shot Factory Bed and Breakfast - Schellsburg, PA

Updated: Sep 28, 2021

The story goes that The Old Shot Factory manufactured ammunition for the early settlers and for the Continental army during the Revolutionary War. Whether this is true or not no one actually knows.

The stone house was built by Peter Statler. During the 1800’s it served as a tavern and inn for pioneers and stage coach passengers. The inn failed to thrive and was sold by the sheriff of Bedford county to Andrew Statler, first cousin of Peter. Andrew owned the property until his death in 1883. It was then purchased by John Bence.

The current owner is Mr. Perry Allen Rose turned it into a bed and breakfast.

The Old Shot Factory Bed and Breakfast is located at: 534 Lincoln Highway, Schellsburg, PA
