Old Building in Rockland Township

A house once stood next to this building where James W. Hower lived. On January 17, 1998 two men came to Howers home at 8 am to collect a debt from a young man who was living in Hower’s home. Mr. Hower asked the two men to leave. As Mr. Hower was escorting the two men to the door when he was stabbed in the abdomen and died from those wounds. James was 37 years old.

James is buried in a cemetery in Dryville, Pa, not far from where he lived.
