New Hope-Lambertville Toll Bridge
The first bridge on this site was completed on September 12, 1814 and washed away by flooding on January 8, 1841. The second bridge was destroyed by flooding in 1903. The 3rd bridge was constructed in 1904. It is a 1053 foot long bridge which spans the Delaware River from New Hope, PA to Lambertville, NJ. It was originally operated as a privately owned toll bridge.
A fun feature is the bridge allows pedestrians to walk from PA into NJ or vice versa depending on where they are coming from!!
