Fred McFeely Rogers was born in 1928 in Latrobe, PA. Fred went on to become a loved icon on the Mister Roger’s Neighborhood show. Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood first aired on February 19, 1968. It ran for 32 years.
Mr. Rogers retired in December 2002 and was diagnosed with stomach cancer. He died on February 27, 2003 at the age of 75. He is buried in a family mausoleum along with his father, James Hillis Rogers and mother, Nancy McFeely at Unity Cemetery, Latrobe PA. There are other family members in the mausoleum as well and the name on the outside bears “Given“.
