Mount Gretna Playhouse - Mount Gretna, PA

The playhouse, originally known as Chautauqua Auditorium, actually dates back to 1892 when it was built as the centerpiece of Chautauqua. In 1927 A.E. Scott, actor and director from the Fulton Theatre in Lancaster, opened the first summer season at the theatre. Gretna Theatre is considered America’s oldest summer theatre.
