Mellon Square - Downtown Pittsburgh, PA

Mellon Square is a historic landmark and urban park in Downtown Pittsburgh, PA that was built in 1954-55. It is the first modernist park built above a parking garage and features a distinctive tree-lined, black-and-white geometric pavement, fountains, raised flower beds and a cascading waterfall. It is a prominent urban oasis and gathering spot in Downtown Pittsburgh, where people come and sit to work, meet up with friends, have lunch or just read a book. It is located at the corner of Smithfield and Oliver Streets in Pittsburgh.
