Maker's Mark - Loretto, Kentucky

Bill Samuels Jr. started Markers Mark in Loretto, KY with his family's 170 year old bourbon recipe. His wife, Margie, gave the whiskey it's name, drew the label and thought up the wax dipping. It was introduced to the market in 1959.

We were hoping to dip one of the bottles in the signature red wax but the tours were completed for the day so we just walked around the gorgeous property.
