Lake Raystown - Entriken, PA

Lake Raystown Resort:

This year's family vacation was to one of our favorite places we go camping, Lake Raystown, Pa.  The 32-mile long Raystown Lake is a popular destination for all water enthusiasts. We enjoyed boating, tubing, fishing, kayaking and hiking during our stay.

Raystown Lake is a reservoir in Huntingdon County, PA. The original lake was built by the Simpson family of Huntingdon as a hydroelectric project. Raystown Lake is a 8,300-acre lake and was completed in 1973 by the Army Corps of Engineers.  The lake was created primarily to control floods, provide electricity, and support recreational activities.

Lake Raystown Resort Is located on 400 acres of waterfront property. They are pet friendly, have a playground for kids, lake access for boats, jet skis and kayaks, they have a waterpark and pool, rv & tent sites, cabins and a marina, a resort, an on-site restaurant, an outdoor wedding garden and much more!

The Marina Cafe :

The Marina Café offers old time favorites in a casual setting overlooking the beautiful Marina. They have a small menu but their food was delicious and our waitress was wonderful. They offer indoor and outdoor deck seating. We choose to sit outside on the deck; the view is amazing, overlooks the lake!

Lake Raystown Resort has a WildRiver Waterpark. The park features the Cemetery Sluice Innertube Ride, the Atomic Blaster water slide, a small pool with lifeguards, and a Children’s Splash Pad. They also have a concession stand for a treat to end your day. There is a fee for admissions; the price is not included with your stay at the resort.

We went to the waterpark later in the day. It was fairly crowded. They do offer several lounge chairs for guests. There is plenty of grass area if you have beach chairs, blankets or a larger group for seating.
