Lackawanna Coal Mine - Scranton, PA

Lackawanna Coal Mine was opened by Continental Coal Company in 1903. The mine was closed in 1966 and was abandoned until 1978 when the mine was converted into a museum. Upon reaching 300 feet below the earth we took a tour of the underground gangways and rock tunnels.
