Kutztown Train Station & Railroad - Kutztown, PA
The first passenger train service in Kutztown was on January 10, 1870. 151 years later the Allentown and Auburn railroad has survived and now offers several excursions during the year.
Several years ago my family rented the caboose during one of the wine excursions. This brought back a lot of memories. The woman who babysat me as a child lived near a railroad track. Whenever we would hear the train coming we ran to the tracks to wave to the person in the caboose who always threw us treats.
