Kitch-iti-kipi Springs - Manistique, Michigan
Kitch-iti-kipi or “Big Spring” is located in Palm Book State Park is Michigan’s largest freshwater spring. The Chippewas nicknamed it “Mirror of Heaven.
You can board a raft that takes you 200 feet across the spring. There is a middle viewing area where you can watch the trout and the fissures in the limestone erupt each minute pumping 10,000 gallons of aqua-colored freshwater. The water is a constant 45 degrees year round.
