Joseph Laux Fairy Garden - Almonesson, NJ

Created between 1945 and 1954 by carpenter Joseph Laux. Mr. Laux was inspired by Walt Disney Cartoons. He used shells, rocks and broken china to create the garden. He wanted to create a version of an English fortress with castles, bridges, towers and moats. Mr. Laux gave tours up until 1987 when he became ill. After Joseph died in 1991 his relatives continued to take care of the property.
