Grandfather Cuts Loose the Ponies - George, Washington
Grandfather Cuts Loose the Ponies is an art sculpture created by David Govedare in 1989/1990. The 15 life-size steel horses are located in George, WA on a ridge above the Columbia River.
The sculpture celebrates Washington’s years of statehood dedicated to the native people of the state and the wild horses that once roamed here.
The hike to the top is straight up on loose gravel.
