Gen. William Watts Hart Davis House, 1844 - Doylestown, PA

General Davis was a Brevet Brigadier of the United States Volunteers during the Civil War. He was awarded this rank “for gallant and meritorious services”, during operations against Charleston, South Carolina: on March 13, 1865.

He was a journalist, author, government official and math teacher. He also founded the Bucks County Historical Society.
