Fallingwater - Mill Run, PA
Updated: Nov 7, 2022
Fallingwater was designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright in 1935 for Edgar J. & Liliane Kaufmann. The Kaufmann’s used the home from 1937 until 1963 as their family’s weekend home. In 1964 the home was deeded to the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy by Edgar Kaufman Jr. and was opened to the public.
The house was listed as a National Historic Landmark in 1976. One of our favorite parts of the house is the fact that it is partially built over a waterfall.. At the time we took the tour no photos were allowed within the house.
