Bucks County Playhouse - New Hope, PA

The original structure was built in 1790 after Hope Mills was burned down. In the 1930’s the building faced demolition but Broadway playwright, Moss Hart, gathered the community to renovate the building. The Bucks County Playhouse is located along the Delaware River and opened on July 1, 1939.
Several years ago we attended a show at the playhouse, “Always…Patsy Cline” starring Carter Calvert & Sally Struthers. Amazing performance and venue.
