FREE 100 Mile View - Jim Thorpe

Trying to avoid the weekend traffic at Jim Thorpe we took a back scenic road. While driving we came across a sign at the bottom of a hill that said, “Free 100 Mile View”. Curious, we made a right turn up the steep road. Once we reached the top we were in awe. The view was spectacular.

A panoramic view of the hilltops of Carbon County at a hidden overlook in Jim Thorpe. The Free 100 Mile View offers breathtaking views of the Mahoning Valley and beyond. You can capture a glimpse of the Lehigh Gorge State Park, the Beltzville State Park, Blue Mountain Ski Resort, Appalachian Trail, Hawk Mountain and the snaking Lehigh River.
